Orbital Fabrications Ltd are proud to announce that we have been awarded the specialist gas hook up package at the Cavendish Laboratory – Department of Physics at the University of Cambridge.
We will be responsible for the installation hook-up and commissioning of all the inert, toxic, flammable and pyrophoric gases required for the many semiconductor tools across the Organic and Inorganic cleanrooms.
The new Cavendish Laboratory is a purpose-built centre for world-leading research, bringing most of the Cavendish research groups under one roof to encourage collaboration.
In addition to serving as a home for physics research at Cambridge, the new Cavendish Laboratory is a top-class facility for the nation – much of the specialised research equipment in the new building will be made available to other institutions. The new facility has been designed to match the more exacting standards of current research, serving the educational needs of future generations of students much better than is possible at our existing site.
We are honoured to be awarded this contract and will strive to deliver safe, reliable, and clean gas systems to the various tools across the cleanroom. We will work closely with the major projects team and look forward to a successful completion of the project with all parties involved.
